Hatha Yoga
The classical basis of yoga. In Hatha, dynamism and stillness alternate, with attention to both physical postures and breathing. Ideal for consciously slowing down and finding balance between body and mind.
Understanding Hatha
The word Hatha refers to sun (Ha) and moon (Tha), a symbol of the duality and balance within ourselves. During a Hatha class, you work with both effort and relaxation, strength and softness.
By holding postures a little longer, you not only experience physical effects, but also mental stillness. It is a practice that helps you to stand firmly with both feet on the ground while finding more inner peace.
In short, Hatha yoga teaches balance, awareness and presence - both on the mat and off.
